The phrase "politics makes for strange bedfellows" is probably a cliche, and one Scott and other cartoonists have got a lot of mileage from over the years.
I wouldn't accuse Tariana of most of what is on your list (though "dangerous to know" could fit). Rather I would say she is exceedingly consistent about advancing her own ideologies (some of which I consider deeply flawed). Maorist would fit.
